and didn’t see them....where was this pic pulled?

@sidsmom

It's a promo from Saks.

I think the black finger tips are a mock of what singer Lorde did to her black dyed finger tips at the Grammys one year. Designer Thom Browne had some of his models dip their finger tips in black ink to enhance the theme of his show a few years back, too.

Finger caps = UGLY!  Even patterns on nails do not appeal to me.  I prefer short nails with an off white or very light pink polish.

Interesting, and once again @SilleeMee is right on the money.  Had to look it up, and seems this has been around on the fashion show scene since 2011.

Runway fashion is editorial and I don't see it make cross overs into every day fashion a whole lot on any type of meaningful scale.

It's not a "thing".  That's just one of those fashion things, Gucci fashion shows are like something from another planet.  You see it on the runways and in the fashion magazine ads but not on real people.  Think about it.  Real women are not going to pay for manicures and then cover their finger tips...lol

My guess is that it's staged for the designer's photos/runway show and not necessarily a fashion trend.  Although, I could see some circles adapting it as part of a look.

I remember back when Michael Jackson was bandaging his fingers as part of his fashion look and the trend briefly caught on until he moved on to something else.

I don't like that look.  I don't even like the trend of having one nail on each hand a different color.    May be okay for teens.  Some on the soap opera I watch do that, and I just don't like it.  I always notice nails.  I always wear polish, but do my own.
