Re: Invisable at the mac counter at nordstroms

Just wondering............Aren't MAC counters staffed by MAC SAS? Who have been trained by and are responsible to MAC?

Poor service would be a reflection on MAC and not Nordstrom's.

OP, you're not alone. I've read posts by other people on the forum regarding icy service at times from MAC SAS, esp in MAC stores.

I have had the same experience and I was not 50...this is why I have never bought MAC products...if they are too good for me...I will take my money some where else. There were many 20 somethings getting attention. Now logically who has more discretionary money?

That is sad. I am sorry that happened to you. Smiley Sad Don't take it personally though, she could have just had a bad day. NOT making excuses for her because regardless of how her day was going, her business is to be pleasant and help customers but I just don't think you should automatically think it is something about you personally. 6 cats, I know what you're talking about re: Mac. I've been kind of surprised to read on this board that so many ladies love this line. In my case, I gave it a few tries at Macy's (only store near me that carries it), and I didn't find the SA's helpful.

For one of my purchases, I wanted to try a new foundation that I had read about online, and the SA seemed to know nothing about it, and when she found its location, recommended a shade that didn't work for me.

I later returned it, and although I got a credit, they seemed surprised to get a return.

Will not go back to Mac.

Oh boy, I'm just the opposite ...... I like to browse and want to be left alone unless I ASK for help! {#emotions_dlg.crying}

To me, NOTHING is more annoying than person after person asking if they can help .... After about the 3rd time, it's like being verbally assaulted! Sheesh. {#emotions_dlg.crying}

This has happened to me at Nordstrom as well at the Lancome counter. Completely invisible. I don't purchase Lancome there anymore.

Funny how different store counters can be. Your experience is mine at Bloomingdales BB counter. Right across the way at the MAC counter, they couldn't be nicer or more helpful.

Re: Invisable at the mac counter at nordstroms

I don't know if this is the problem, but a young MU artist friend did my makeup once and it was awful! She specialized in wedding parties where the bride and bridesmades were all in their 20's. I wonder if a lot of the younger artists aren't taught to do older women's MU? Application and products are entirely different for young vs. older women.

Sad if MU artists in stores are only taught to do young women's makeup.

Maybe I have more chutzpah than most...or a "bigger set"...but if I need help & no one is around, I walk up, point blank & ask for help. What is hard about that!! Grow a pair. It'll carry you far!!!

Exactly. I'll never understand why women (NOT all, but a good deal) are meek and timid as a church mouse, afraid of their own shadow.

If you (general meaning) want something ASK for it!

People can not read minds.

God gave people voices.

Was Yuban, then changed to Plaid Pants due to forum upgrade, and apparently, I'm back to being Yuban.
