Re: Interesting observation of make up

@Sooner

A "full face" can look garish or a "full face" can look pleasant and classic. I've toned down my makeup over the years but it's still a full face.  The only thing negative about having so much makeup is the time it takes to choose what I want to use.  That's why I often pick out clothes and makeup the night before.  Right or wrong, wearing makeup boosts my confidence level and that dopamine also makes me feel better. Lordy, I could use some makeup right now!  I do have lipgloss on Smiley Wink

@monicakm You are exactly right, although a face of makeup never looks like you aren't waring makeup--which used to be basically forbidden out in the world and is now accepted.

To me that is a huge change in the way people think.  People who are 50 and younger don't think the way people my age think I'd say.  Although there is still a group who follow influencers and the Kardashians for dress up I guess.

I don't know how old you are but I'm 65.  I've never felt the need to make my made up self look like I don't have on makeup.  Not trying to fool anyone to thinking I woke up looking like this lol  I guess I think like the <50 crowd.

Re: Interesting observation of make up

In general, I think women look better with some type of makeup.  Not necessarily a "full" face, but something.

@monicakm  - There's nothing wrong with boosting your confidence by wearing makeup.  Most of us need something.

Re: Interesting observation of make up

@bmorechick  I wear make up every day but I can shower, do my face, hair, iron something to wear and be out the door in 1 hr 15 ish minutes.

I cannot imagine leaving the house with out some form of make up.

@Mom2Dogs   Yeah, I typically wear the same combination every day.  May change blush color at times or under eye liner, but I just don't have the interest to branch out.  On weekends, if I am home I am naked faced all day.  If I have to run to the store, I will slide on a lipstick and blush but that's it.

I'm quick in the AM too.  I can be showered, dressed, made up and out the door in 45 min.  I only live 8 minutes from work and I typically slide in the parking lot on 2 wheels - but I make it!

Re: Interesting observation of make up

@monicakm  That would be a firm NO...scared to death of a motorcycle - rode on one once and I was cured for life!  Nothing between me and that asphalt 😫

I meant I'm always late...hate mornings - always have in the 52 years I have worked. Get up last minute possible...
