Hi Everybody

Do you buy/use high end or less expensive make up?

I use a little of both.  I have my favorites like Dior, Laura Geller, Fenty and Bare Minerals. For a long time, since I started working, I liked only high end brands.  I really thought they were better.  But as many have have mentioned here, with the beauty insustry so competitive, even the drug store brands have stepped up their game.

I always liked ELF and L'Oreal.  Lately, I found two brands that are the cheaper end of even drug store that I really like.  I bought an eyeshadow quad by Milani and an eyebrow pallete by LA Girl.  Both realy great!!

What are some of your low end faves?

Hi @Shelbelle

Totally forgot about NYX.  I like that line, too.  Do you not buy things made in China?

I like ELF, Milani, L'Oreal, NYX, LA Girl, Revlon, Maybelline.  Have different items from each of these lines.

Re: Inexpensive Make Up Lines

@justashopper   I have worn the same creamy natural Covergirl face make up forever.

Covergirl Medium & Illuminator concealers.

Covergirl Enhancers 4-shade eye shadows.  Maybelline Unstoppable eye liner in Espresso.  Rimmel black mascara.  Classic Maybelline eyebrow in brown red pencil.

Iced Plum (comes out pink) Cover Girl blush.

Covergirl Luv U smoochies lipstick that has been discontinued.  Bought about 40 tubes so should last Smiley Happy

Takes between 4 - 5 minutes to use all the above.

A male friend of mine said you're a natural beauty.  Bwaahahaha!  Smiley Wink

Re: Inexpensive Make Up Lines

No I don't--and haven't for many, many years. But I did during my teenage years--60's-70's--- when I didn't have much $$ to myself----I think my intro into higher end make up back then, was more along what was advertized on TV with the super models like Twiggy and Jean Shrimpton---- Coty, Yardley of London, Max Factor--those were "high end" back in the day for me. I think as I made more $$ I bought more pricey stuff. Now---I spend more money on the things that do the best for my skin but I don't go hog wild and just buy anything that is "new and will change my life"--haven't found that unicorn yet!!

Hi @rockygems123

I am glad you brought up the CoverGirl eye enhancers.  I recently bought that quad, too, in natural.  LOVE IT!!

Re: Inexpensive Make Up Lines

I'm not a make-up snob and I use drug store, along with medium/high end.  I use different brands already mentioned by other posters.  I'll add Essence to the mix.  I like their Lash Princess mascara.  Best spent 5.00 ever.
