Inactive eBay account hijacked

DD and I used to sell antiques and my extra beauty items on eBay. We quit about three years ago and her account sat unused. Today she received an email from ebay regarding her supposed email address change. She checked and found an I Pad had been purchased on her account by someone in Taiwan. Luckily she had switched banks in the meantime and her financial information was no longer valid. She is mystified how they figured out her password. So if you have an eBay account you are not using, close it, especially if the bank account or credit card connected to it is still good. Evidently they are trolling for these inactive accounts.
