If you are using Tresemme' shampoo.....

[ Edited ]

I was having what I thought was alot of hair coming out in my brush and comb. My hubby was always picking hairs off my clothing. I never had any bald spots, but it didn't feel as thick as it always was...

I recently had 2 minor surgeries and I just figured it was due to the anesthetic and medication from those.

Then I got a message from a friend about a Class action lawsuit against 2 kinds of Tresemme shampoo. One was what I had been using the last couple months. It has made hair fall out for other women.

I had run out of the Tresemme and just decided to try another brand and I have no more issues...

Might want to check it out if you use their products...

@Nataliesgramma   Oh no. Have not heard of this one. Thanks for posting. I don't use this shampoo, but certainly helpful to others. As with WEN and other products, there are always some who are sensitive to some ingredients and others are not.

FYI: Some people who have had Covid have lost a lot of hair as a side affect. You just never know if it's a stress reaction.

I have used this shampoo Tresemme. I didn't like this, it made my hair look bad, my hair falling more than before. Now I start oiling almost on daily basis and moved to Vatika shampoo. Now I'm satisfied.

Re: If you are using Tresemme' shampoo.....

I started experiencing even faster hair loss than usual (been thinning for a couple of years) using Garnier Fructis Volume Extend products. I was cleaning clumps out of my hair catcher.

WEN does nothing for my hair and I won't use it again for several reasons but when I did use it I experienced the LEAST amount of hair shedding.

The past month I've been trying a sulfate free shampoo, Maui Moisture Shampoo for Color Treated Hair, and that definitely seems to have cut down on the hair loss when shampooing. Not as much as the WEN cut it down but a whole lot better than the Garnier Fructis.

I thought my hair loss was due to the surgeries I
Had last year, but my Dr and I think it was due to
low iron level after my last surgery. For whatever reason I’m not storing enough iron. Since starting on iron supplement the problem stopped.

I've used Tresemme shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, gel, etc., etc. for years.

Most independent salons around here use Tresemme products.

Never had any issues ...

I still use their hairspray...but it was only these 2 kinds of shampoo that caused the hair loss... TRESemmé Keratin Hair Smoothing Shampoo and TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Color Shampoo....

TRESEMMÉ KERATIN HAIR SHAMPOOS

In November 2020, two class-action lawsuits were filed against Unilever and Conopco for allegedly falsely representing that TRESemmé keratin hair shampoos – including the Smoothing Shampoo and the Smooth Color Shampoo – smooth hair and coat it in keratin without disclosing that ingredients in the shampoos cause hair loss and irritate the scalp. Plaintiffs also claim that the shampoos are marketed as safe without warning consumers that the products contain dangerous ingredients. Click on the case information below to read each complaint.

It is not all the Tresemme Shampoo's that are involved.  You can google for more information.

I don't think I'd be very happy with the price that it costs to get hair cut and highlighted nowadays to see that they used such cheap products in my hair!  I've never used it myself and it might work fine, but I would not be happy spending $$$ to get my hair done to find out they were using shampoo/conditioner that costs a couple of bucks for a huge bottle.
