@JudyL

I have dry skin and Mally Face Defender is my holy grail!

I've used it for many many years. I pat my face with it after my sunblock and it gives a pefected, primered look (think blurred/powdered appearance without the dry matte look). Beautiful finish.

Then to further perfect I use the Doll10 pink powder on

just my t- zone (?sp).

No, I don't think so.  If you were lucky enough to have no visible powers, and I take it no other problems with your complexion, then no - what would you need it for?  Also, if you had a dry complexion, I would guess you might be more concerned with adding a bit of moisture or sheen, or perhaps using someing like a moisturizing moist.

Finishing powders are made to blur everything together so your makeup looks evenly applied and to give an airbrushed look to it. It's not an issue of skin texture or dryness but more of a need to create seamlessness.

If you have pore and texture issues then use a primer.

Re: If You Had No Visible Pores and a Dry Complexion

That's me--no pores, dry skin-- and I do use a finishing powder like BE mineral veil mostly, but just got Doll 10 finishing powder that I really like. I also can get away with using a finishing powder as my only foundation. The Doll 10 works really nice for me. Of course I do moisturize before, so I don't look like the Sahara desert is on my skin.
