If Philosophy lotion has an expiration- how does it affect it?

Does it get moldy? does it smell funny? can it make you sick? I found a giant bottle of it at my Mom's -- it's probably 2 years old- never used or opened--- is it still okay to use or what? Will it make me sick or give me a rash or what?

I e-mailed Philosophy and they just said they wouldn't take it back or exchange it ( which I didn't even ask) but they never answered the questions about viability.
