I have last year's tree and this year's box that opens like window shutters.

The earlier boxes were easy. I just hate to throw away these strong boxes.

Any ideas?

Can you post pictures of the boxes? That will help us come up with something.

Is this one of the ones you're talking about? I would cover up the label at the bottom (print out something, use a sticker to/from tag, or cut up a Christmas card) and put small candies (peppermint discs, hershey's kisses, etc) with notes (you are awesome, etc) inside the compartments and drop it off to someone who could use a pick-me-up during the holidays.

I would freecyle them if that's available , people like stuff like that

or if they are paper ☞ recycle bin
