Is it just me??? Jamie of IT Cosmetics says her eyebrow pencil is so unique and it took her years to develop yet YBF (Your Best Friend) Cosmetics on HSN (formerly as Models Preferred on QVC) has had this same exact pencil, with all the same claims - 20 shades in one pencil; a shade for everyone - for at least 20 years. This makes me feel Jamie and IT cosmetics are copycats and dishonest ones at that. Am I missing something???

I think they are the same too, and despite what they claimed, neither was dark enough for my black eyebrows.

I believe Stacey from YBF had hers on first! Could be wrong, in any case I have both and def YBF is better!!

Stacey had her products on QVC years ago under the name "Model's Prefer". Then there was some sort of falling out and she went to HSN and changed the name. I think the formulations are pretty much the same, though.

They are not the same for me. I've used both and YBF is better, at least IMO.

I feel the same way Stacys was first, tried both and agree the dark one is not dark enough for my brows.wish they would improve it for a darker shade,if I press to hard as they say to do then it looks like a crayon pencil.My brows are thininng out use to be I never needed a pencil but now I do,any other suggestions?I don't care for the liquid ones at all.

Unless YBF has changed their product, it is a sharp point. I do like IT's better because theirs is oval and flat...easier for me to get a good shape. Not sure about the product itself, but they do seem similar. There is another company out of NY that was owned by a model, her name escapes me, but hers was almost exact to the others, too, and I believe hers was first.

I've inherited my moms jet black eyebrows. I find that the IT and YBF eyebrow pencils give me the darkness I need without a problem! You just have a press more firmly.

There are probably ingredient differences in the two products. Stacey may have been the first to use the delivery system. -Edited to increase font size
