Is it matte or does the "Illumination" give a more dewey look?

I have the original (in medium beige....too light) and it's very matte, which gives MY skin a chalky look (hate that).

Also a question on the color.......I use Medium Beige or Medium Tan in BE.....and the regular in Balance and Brighten.....would I use Medium or Tan in this brand?

I have both the regular and the illumination, and I much prefer the illumination. It does look more "glowy" (not shiny). I agree that the original Celebration is a little chalky on my older skin. Also, the coloration is different from one to the other. The colors for the Illumination are darker than the original. I'm medium skinned, but my body gets tanned, so I use my foundation to darken my sun-screened face a little, to make it match the rest of me. I actually use the Rich color, and it's not too dark on me, unless I put it on too thick! In the winter, I might be able to use the Tan color, though. Hope that helps!

May I chime in with a foundation question? I have dry skin and use liquid foundation. Will this work for me the way LG BNB works? Or will it be too dry? I am on fence about the kit. I have the lipstick (it is so-so). TIA

Hi @ Lotus ! I agree with @2blonde - I too have both the Illumination and the regular and the Illumination is my favorite - it is not "shiny" or sparkly or anything like that.

I haven't used BE so I can't advise re IT shade but I think you can't go wrong with Medium. Hope you enjoy it!

Hi @scatcat - I have dry skin too - and this IT Foundation works really well for me, and it's not too dry.

Thanks @Mj12 and @2blonde......I'm still on the fence about it. I think I'll check out the colors at Ulta instead of getting the kit.

Going for a new tat tonite instead.

That is a good idea - I love Ulta for their IT selection. And you can try on and figure out what shades are good for you.
