Do you use primer with this formula?  My concern is the build up would look heavy and cakey.

@pommom  I haven’t used this, but some reviews here have complained that it’s cakey, dry, difficult to “spread”, etc. I’d assume adding yet another layer underneath would make it thicker and add to these difficulties.

I don't use anything under it.

I have used this and for my skin, it works better with a good primer (Dr Brandt or Clinique super primer) but I have used it without one too.  It definitely does not add a layer making it thicker or more difficult to spread - it makes it easier to spread, gives you a smoother canvas.

I don't find it difficult to spread either way and would only get "cakey" if you use too much.  A drier formula is not really meant for building up coverage.

It goes on much better than Revlon Color Stay or EL Double Wear, which to me were hard to apply and dried and looked like cement!

@HerRoyaLioness

Thanks HerRoyalLioness.  I, too, don't have any problem spreading it.  Will try it both ways.
