IT Foundation makeup problem

" I loved this makeup the first few times I used it. Then it just dried up. The brush could not even get product on it. There was a small spot that not gotten dried but I had to use my finger to rub some off. Never had a product do this before. Suggestions? "Anyone else have this problem?

Re: IT Foundation makeup problem

I used a cotton swap to rub a tiny spot like that off in one of mine I had, it worked great for me. I was thinking of using my finger too, but I was unsure if the oils in my hands would make the issue worse. You could email IT Cosmetics and ask what they recommend; they are super nice and always have helped me when I have a question... Just an idea, hope that helps a little bit. Smiley Happy

The It Foundation forming a coating has been discussed here a lot. I've used It a lot and only had this happen once to me. I scraped a layer with a fresh razor blade. It helped.

Re: IT Foundation makeup problem

If you are speaking of the celebration foundation in the compact, it is most likely caused by the moisturizer you are picking up on the brush and then touching the compact again which in turn deposits a bit of oil on the compact itself. This tends to be a dark spot. You may want to try and clean the brush more often, this usually solves this problem. I use two brush's kind of switch back and forth. Hope this helps you.

Re: IT Foundation makeup problem

Use a piece of tape with the sticky side down over the compact and it will lift of the hardened product. Press the tape down and then lift. You will see the product on the tape. Keep putting the tape over the area until it is completely lifted. I do this every so often so I don't get the ""hardened"" effect on the compact. This problem happens when the oils/moisturizer from your face get into the compact.

Re: IT Foundation makeup problem

The first compact did this. I posted and someone recommended I wait until my moisturizer was completely dry on my face - no tackiness to the touch. I've had my second compact for quite a while and it hasn't formed this waxy film over the powder.
