I bought the special 5-piece offering about a week ago, and I'm not impressed. So it's back to my drugstore brands (Revlon, L'Oreal, Maybelline, etc.). I don't know why I fell for this except that possibly I was a little bored with the same old thing and wanted to try something new.

The IT makes my pores look enormous and cakes into the lines on my face and that's not a flattering look. I can buy products that do a better job for a lot less money locally and not have to pay QVC's ridiculous shipping charges.

Lesson learned.

I'm kinda with ya on that... I wasn't real happy with the foundation...The rest of the stuff was good, but a powder is a powder is a powder--no matter how they wrap it up. And my skin is very dry, so powders alone don't work--I need some kind of 'something' underneath...bb cream, or foundation or something... Plus I noticed that it really made my skin very flat looking--Maybe some contouring would help? Seems like it needs some tweaking from my experience. I did like the primer though, and the brushes.

I'm kinda on the fence with the byebye undereye...Did you like that at all? It kinda covers my dark circles pretty ok, but it seems a bit grey(?)...kinda washes me out?.... Maybe I'm just being overly critical?lol

I just want to say I felt the same way, and had everything boxed up ready to ship back, but then thought I would try again, I was using way too much primer. Have you tried using it with just one littlest drop of primer, and be sure to wait several minutes before adding the powder. I love it now.

I tried it too, but it ended up irritating my skin after using a few times, and looks a tad yellow on me, so I'm back to BE which has actual shades for different skin tones. I have combo-dry skin in the winter and it doesn't dry out my skin at all, as long as I use a good moisturizer.

I liked the concealer/highlighter, mostly for the highlighter. But I wasn't that impressed with the primer. But I haven't found a primer that I notice a difference when using over not using one. If I use one it's LG or BE Neutralizing. The rest have not impressed me

I was just finally getting around to watching some of my recorded beauty programs from CHristmas time and was watching the IT TSV presentation. I do not know why, when she shows the older model she always makes smile really big and then relax, she says that the wrinkles at the corner of the model's eyes look "juicy and plumped up" (her words, not mine) and that you can't notice them with her foundation- that the makeup does not settle in her lines. You can CLEARLY see her wrinkles still. Perhaps standing right in front of her she cannot see what we can see on TV (which doesn't make sense)?

My experience with IT cosmetics has been less than exciting. I wanted to like the products, I did, but they always disappointed me and were not any better, to me, than drugstore products I've used in the past. Before my foundation developed the film, making it near impossible to use, it really seemed to accentuate any dryness, fine line, or pore I had and I don't really have any issues with any of those things, especially never any enlarged or noticeable pores . I am not expecting something to make everything look like it did when I was 20 but I certainly don't want it to accentuate anything negative or even create new issues I've never had before!

And for someone with skin issues like rosacea, I am really surprised at all the potentially irritating ingredients she puts in many of her products, like this primer or her serum. Actually, I am really surprised at the NUMBER of ingredients she puts in there, period. My friend who has rosacea says less is better in terms of ingredients for her in controlling her rosacea. Perhaps Jamie should work with dermatologists instead of plastic surgeons.

Oh well, we live and learn. Some people love the products I sadly, do not.

Still have not heard back from them regarding the source of squalane in their products. I think I am on day 55 or 56 now.

Still have not heard back from them regarding the source of squalane in their products. I think I am on day 55 or 56 now.

HappyDaze, I found some info, perhaps this will help. Sourced from the Herberie.

What is Squalene and Squalane?
Before the 1980’s, the only commercially available squalene was derived
from a particular species of sea sharks. Squalene is found in a variety of
vegetable oils, such as rice bran oil and olive oil. A more common source,
with the same chemical composition is now is derived from Olive Oil.
Squalene is an unsaturated hydrocarbon, which can easily produce oxygen
by combining with water. Squalene has been extensively researched and,
as an oxygen carrier, found to play a key role in maintaining health. The
interest in Squalane has significantly increased since it was found to be
present at about 10% in human sebum which makes it very desirable for
use in skin care.
The only problem with Squalene is the instability of the molecule. With it’s
high degree of unsaturation, it’s prone to oxidation and subsequent
reduced shelf-life. To overcome this problem, Squalene was completely
hydrogenated to form Squalane. Squalane is derived from Squalene, but is
much more stable against oxidation. Squalane is now the preferred form
for use in skin care products.
Squalane is a natural emollient that imparts an elegant feel to formulations.
It is excellent for use in skin care and will help skin to retain moisture.

I agree about the older model, you can clearly see her wrinkles as you said so I'm never sure what she's trying to demonstrate there.

it Cosmetics looks like it would be so good, but I haven't any luck with any products so far. The foundation and/or primer irritated my skin, and the mascara irritated my eyes. I need to stop getting sucked into the presentations and wasting my money, but they always make everything look so good!

What I really need to do is stop watching QVC & HSN unless I really need something, and actually use up what I have!

Thanks magemay, I do know what squalane/squalene is but what I emailed IT was asking about WHERE their squalane is sourced- animal or plant derived. They keep putting me off, saying they have to contact the manufacturer to find out but that was 50+ days ago. I know it doesn't take that long to find out the answer. I've followed up again but still not response yet. Thanks though! Smiley Happy

I used to love IT but then it just quit working for me. I think, sometimes, you skin just changes and the make up just doesn't work anymore. I have been using Josie Maran for the past year and love it. That seems to be working for me right now perfectly.

This stuff is garbage! Sent mine back this morning. I won't be buying anymore of the IT brand.
