I was in Ulta on Saturday, and the IT representative told me that they would not be on QVC after September.  She said she didn't know why - they had just been informed of the news.  So, just FYI.  Maybe we will hear more from QVC about it.

I'm not into the beauty items but I feel we are about to lose many of the brands we are familiar with on the Q and HSN.  The merge will happen around September so this seems like just part of some big changes coming.

@suziebee1   Only a guess but maybe once lots of shoppers know and like their products, it doesn't benefit IT to bargain for TV time.

I buy almost no cosmetics, but one IT product I do use is their brow device with pencil and brush on opposite ends.  I had no knowledge of IT except because they were on the Q line-up.

@suziebee1   I've been noticing except for Nordstrom, many dept. stores have filthy and empty spot demos on counter out of many shades/products. I'm thinking prices will be going up and stores (and Q) will be carrying what they can get and at a reasonable price.

I assume some makeup lines will be expensive to produce and quanities will be limited to fewer stores.

That's a shame. It's one of the few beauty lines I like on the Q. It's so much better than many lines that keep getting aired over and over again.

It has been a while, but Ulta really downsized their displays too.  After they were sold they did change a lot.

This is sad news.  I use IT Cosmetics CC Glow and sometimes the Q has a good deal on it.  I remember when IT started on the Q.

With the exception of kits or two-fers, I can get IT on A-azon cheaper with free delivery as a prime member. The Ultas near me are dumpy, and have very small storefronts with not much to select from in-store.

I feel like one of the two channels will become more beauty focused, otherwise why sell the same products (Too Faced, Tarte, Benefit, Beauty Bio, Doris doll10, Shark, Tweakd, Beekman, Clinique, all the high end perfume brands that they share, Sunday Riley, etc.) across two platforms if your productions are (going to be) in the same space, technology shared, resources consolidated, etc. Frankly I would like that; beauty, clothes, jewley and accessories on one channel and the other carrying the electronics, housewares, coin collector stuff, crafts and gardening/home care.

I often wondered what is happening in retail cosmetic sales, the big companies used to pay (a lot) for prime placement in the premium stores, not sure if that continues today.

IT no longer needs QVC
