Re: ISO - Nail colors which add health to nails - is there such a thing???

@ALRATIBA

I haven't had good luck with regular use of nail polish either!  I keep trying but have had the same issues as you!  I probably need the product you suggested-  thank you!

Hi @AngelPuppy1

I've been a fingernail fanatic, incl nail polish,  since preteen, or earlier.

But.

After recent over the top stress from move & "moving ppl problems," & cleaning old place, my nails truly disintegrated to the point that my actual true skin was exposed & fingernail was gone!

Im researching/dabbling in products/techniques to get my fingernails grown out & back.

I can only report interim progress/products on my nails.

1)   Recently tried, yet:

      Ineffective & AWFUL!  Waste of $$

    "modelones 15ml 8-in-One Nail Ridge Filler Strengthener Base Coat Nail Polish Repair Nail Growth Treatment for Thin and Damaged Nails, Crystal Clear" (ref:  Amz

2)  Next/Currently - Trying layers on layers of

    (Really good, so far - the slightly pink, nice,

     teeny glimmer color. Almost like Nail Polish.

"Dermelect Cosmeceuticals Makeover

Peptide Infused Concealer + Treatment  Anti-Aging Ridge Filler(ref: Amz

3)  For eons, Ive been using this MUST HAVE

     Duri Cosmetics REJUVACOTE

     (Nail Growth System)

As I do a manicure every few days, at the cuticles of my nails, I dab this beloved to effective accelerate growth out

DURI Cosmetics

 Nail Growth System REJUVACOTE

  for eons, always seems to promote noticeable growth (which is dearly need now also.)

(I buy this by the Big $50 Bottle.

Pic of the smaller one below). (Ref:  Amz

(Patience is a virtue, but a virtue Im short on.   Woman Frustrated

I have glue-on-nails as a last resort, for protection, while they're growing out. I dont expect these to cure these nail skin exposed problems, & am nervous abt whatever glue is used, & my nails not breathing.

Re: ISO - Nail colors which add health to nails - is there such a thing???

I usually just have natural nails.  When I saw the colors of Kur Londontown, I gave them a try.

They looked great, but my nails began to tear, split and break.  So, I stopped using them.

Then, I started to use them again....same thing happened.  Altogether, I have tried three times to use their products and found that they completely destroy my nails.  It's the worse product I have ever used. I have the top coats, nail conditioners, etc. too

I am licensed as a cosmetologist and have done manicures for over 50 years.  I cannot recommend KUR products on natural nails.

Every nail product out there uses chemicals.  None are good for nails, but some are worse.

Wear gloves and keep your nails out of water.  Soak in warm olive oil.

@JoyFilled Warrior

Sorry for all the nail issues you are experiencing!  Hopefully, you will soon come to a solution! I have been doing more cleaning, etc. where my nails are in water, soap, etc.  I should wear gloves but honestly, at times I find myself in situations where I just don't feel like running for gloves all the time!  Thank you for posting all of these things and it was so kind of you to take the time.  The one which interests me is the Dermelect product.  I am going to look into this one.

@Carmie

Thank you!  I admit to being guilty lately of not wearing gloves! However, my issues started before this.  I appreciate your honest answer regarding the nail product and I decided I will not be trying it.  So far, and has been my experience in the past, I seem to do better with just bare nails.  However, I love the look of polish.  Especially since being older the look of my nails is not really pretty.  They are not white, sort of yellow and have lines in them.
