I think moving to HSN would be better, they have sales, free shipping and flex pays all the time. I wish Mally, BE and Wen would go to HSN.

I may be wrong, but I thought I'd read here that Skinn used to be Parthenia and was on HSN.

. I loved Parthenia face cleanser back then. It had little lofas to exfoliate. Good stuff.

ginabfly I so agree with you. The Parthena facial cleanser was my all time favorite cleanser!! Funny I was just thinking about it yesterday and wished Dimitri would bring it back. I have never had a cleanser that I loved as much as that one!!

To my memory it was a glycolic cleanser with the little beads - - - my fave cleanser EVER!! I was so disappointed when it disappeared! I was also thinking about it recently and wondering if any of his current cleansers are similar. I tried the ones every loves and didn't care for them.

Re: I wonder why qvc doesn't invite isomers and skinn over

Andrew Lessman started at QVC and he left because they would not let him do the 'educational explaining' that he feels he needs to do (and I very much appreciate).

They were 'get on the air, show many products, get off the air'. That is not how Andrew works, so he said 'buh bye'.

Dimitri was on HSN when he was much younger. Wow, if he has been at Evine for 17 years, it has to be over 20 years ago on HSN. He left HSN and sort of disappeared for a while.

Not sure for how long he was missing, but one night I flipped over to ShopNBC (now Evine), and I heard his voice! There he was, and I was so happy to find him again.

I think QVC is difficult to work with. I don't have any basis for that statement, but it seems vendors just either suddenly disappear, or they get less and less air time.

I can think of many vendors who are gone, and I often wonder if it is because the Q does not respect them, makes demands the vendor just won't agree to, requests changes to formula's, or just limits a vendor in a way that compromises the vendors 'be true to your own design, invention, skin care', etc. and they just refuse to do it.

The Q is now stuck with the same old vendors, and the shows are so repetetive I can't understand why it has not affected them as a corporation overall?

Isomers or Skinn would never make the move to QVC. (in my opinion).

Nope, these are nothing like it. I'd forgotten all about that. I didn't care for much of his line when he was Parthena, but I think my skin just didn't need it then.

I have a hard time placing him at HSN, but that's probably where I got it from. Around the early 90's? I remember when he showed up at Value Vision (or whatever Evine was calling itself then). I ALSO remember he was on some 'off brand' shopping channel for a while, but can't remember what that was called.

Shop At Home. I think that's where Melissa came from. They had financial problems and JTV bought them out, and that's where their "Bella Luce" came from.

Are you kidding? Like QVC would ever offer six value pays???? Not going to happen. I hope they stay right where they are at that channel with the dumbest name ever.

From what I remember, when Dimitri sold his Parthena line (I think to his partner) they continued the line. If they are still around they might have your cleanser. You could do a search. I always liked the 'liquid panty hose.' I guess there are better things around, but that was great. Messy to use as I recall. Ahhh......the good ol' days.

Re: I wonder why qvc doesn't invite isomers and skinn over

When Liz Claiborne moved to QVC, it took time because the QVC quality control process is tedious and tough. Standards are not as high on the other shopping networks and I think it shows in the products. I think some of the QVC products have slipped some but, generally, better than HSN or Evine, IMO...I have not had positive experiences with them...I did go through a phase with DG jeans until the die washed off on my legs and caused a terrible rash; that was the end for me!

Dimitri hasn't be at Evine any where close to 17 years. I think he just celebrated six or seven years there.

If you are talking about the Anhydrous Cleanser, it was my favorite also. It was in a white bottle with a blue andd white label. I purchased about 10 small bottles of it when the lady who used to work with Dimitri at Parthena was selling off the remaining inventory.

Cute question, made me laugh. Like it's a tea psrty.....lol. Like shopping channels invite vendors to drop in whenever it please them.

Re: I wonder why qvc doesn't invite isomers and skinn over

I read somewhere in the last year that Dimitri tried to bring Skinn to QVC before he landed on ShopHQ - QVC didn't want him or his products and he was later signed by ShopHQ. (I read this on the internet so it must be true! teehee) I wonder if QVC regrets that decision?

I also agree that if Skinn was on Q, the product prices would be higher, there wouldn't be any great kits at discount prices, shipping charges would be higher, and there wouldn't be any marathon shows on the weekends.
