I have the CC in fair, and I'm told  the shades have not changed.  If you can go to ulta and sample the fair, it should be very similar to the new bye bye.    I ordered it in fair.   I'm very fair, almost porcelain , with pink undertones, and the fair looked fine on me.  That said, I always choose the lightest shade in any foundation I buy.   I also think the fair has a very slight warm undertone, not cool...which I would prefer because I'm cool, but this really works just as good.   Supposedly the new bye bye is a thinner consistency, so your own skin should show through a bit.   HTH.   I'll post back end of February when I get it.
