I think I love it even more than the regular version. I do have combination skin ( slightly oily t zone and the rest very dry), but I'm loving this version of the serum better. I seems to even the skin tone better. I think I might try the Barrier repair moisturizer next. Almost all of my skin care is Paula's Choice now. I love this brand.

Thanks for the review! THis is one of the only ones I haven't tried because I have dry skin and this says for oily so I thought perhaps it wouldn't be enough for my dry skin. I may give it a try- I need one without retinol since I already have the Skin recovery one with retinol and I don't always want to use retinol.

Hi HappyDaze, I love this serum. I just apply my moisture boost cream from Paula's Choice on the dry areas and I'm good to go. I didn't think It would work for my dry skin either, but I'm glad I tried it.

Cissy, I've been using this light version from the beginning because I liked its texture better. I'll often use it as a sort of primer before applying makeup because usually I have already applied some facial oils earlier.

Hi suzy, I wish I had tried it sooner. I like the texture better than the original too. I don't know which anti-irritant it is in the ultra light version that is different from the original, but it sure calms the skin better. I'm glad I tried it. It's a keeper for me.
Have you tried the Barrier Repair Moisturizer? That's next to try on my list. All of my skin care is going to be Paula's Choice now. I wish had known about her line a long time ago. It's the best of the best in my opinion.

I might have tried a sample when I first started with PC. I don't recall. But it has retinol in it. I use the Resist Intensive Wrinkle-Repair retinol serum, so I don't want any more retinol.

I have used this serum in the past and felt like I had noticeable results with no breakouts; her other "tube" serums have all broken me out {I think the "tube" serums are the only things from her line that have broken me out}. However, I didn't reorder because it leaves a yellow stained look on some of the areas where I've applied it and obviously didn't soak/rub in. I'm a nut and found I did this far too often and left the house So, I just stuck with her Resist Wrinkle Repair w/retinol serum - with no breakouts - and I use it at night. Instead I went on to NCN Vit C for my AM routine and I don't get the yellow stained thing going.
I have used a lot of different PC products over the years with great results and hopefully future benefits. I have incorporated with my BE skincare, CeraVe, and NCN all at different times with no problems whatsoever. The only thing I wish she would reformulate is the Skin Balancing Moisture Gel - I'm just concerned about a couple of the ingredients. And maybe my concern is not founded - you folks could let me know. These are the ingredients that concern me: Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben . Otherwise, the formula is one of my very favorites.
I am in my mid 40's, combo oily, acne-prone. Sorry for the novel

You can find each of those ingredients explained in the Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary on her site. I know that she has also written a more detailed article on parabens as well that you find on her site or google for it.
I have zero concerns about parabens myself.
I've never seen any yellow staining from the light serum on my face or clothing or anything. Strange, huh?

Thanks
