Re: I think I'm throwing in the towel with Remoist

Before Wen I used other intensive conditioners as an overnight treatment. I like the remoist and also use it as an overnight treatment. I really like it and believe it just contributes to the condition of my hair. Although, the Wen oils are also a great overnight treatment and something that I never used before Wen. Not sure how many Wenners did use other oils on their hair before Wen but I didn't.

Re: I think I'm throwing in the towel with Remoist

Susan, I used a number of different oils on my hair prior to Wen, especially when I first went natural (got rid of the relaxer).

None of them compare to the Wen Treatment Oils, especially the Tea Tree! The last time it was backordered, I decided to wait it out and make my own blend. I ended up getting it from Amazon.

I would not be surprised if other Wenners also used oils and may actually like them almost as much as Wen oils. Although, I am sure that it requires a little bit of experimentation to get the right formula.

Re: I think I'm throwing in the towel with Remoist

I had used other oils before Wen, and they definitely did not compare to what the Wen oils do for my hair. I believe the reason is that the Wen oils are a mixture of different kinds of oil mixed together for maximum treatment. My hair is very thick and quite dry. I use TT for my first cleanse, and TT on my scalp with a mixture of fig and 613 on the length of my hair, and also a little mixture of fig and 613 and my leave-in, along with the GS, some oil, SC, and mousse. My hair clearly needs lots of moisture but the Remoist just doesn't work for me the way the oil does.

Re: I think I'm throwing in the towel with Remoist

I only really notice a difference when I use it as a leave in (I don't use the CC as a leave in). That works well for me. As a deep conditioner it really didn't do anything. Coconut oil works wayyy better as a deep conditioner for my hair.

Re: I think I'm throwing in the towel with Remoist

Remoist is great for me, but I still have several inches of poo hair which is where I use it. Works best applied on wet hair - for a long time I didn't know that!

I NEED me some 613 oil !!! Need it SOON !!! Need LOTS !!! Need it on A.D. !!!

Re: I think I'm throwing in the towel with Remoist

Thanks to it being suggested here on the forum, I have started using a very small amount of the remoist as a leave-in instead of the CC. After that is use a little SC and GS. My hair is short so it doesn't take much. It makes my hair so soft and really shines.
