Re: I think I'm over Bronzer???

I use gel bronzer.  You just need a speck and I find it looks most natural on me.  The best I have ever used was made by Bonnie Bell.  (Remember 10 O Six?) It was inexpensive then but you can only find old product today at crazy prices. I am currently using a gel bronzer made by Clinique.  It looks pretty good on my fair ruddy complexion.

Re: I think I'm over Bronzer???

I use both bronzer and blush.  BUT - both are only slightly darker than my foundation.

I'm not looking for "color" but rather subtle contouring.

(Lots of years ago, I asked the sales person at Cosmetics Plus for advice on blush/bronzer and it was her suggestion re colors. Still following her advice.)

@monicakm

I've tried to be a bronzer lover, but it just doesn't look good on me.  Everytime I try it, a few hours later I look in the mirror & think, "Dear Gussie, go wash that ****** off!"

I'll stick to my blush only.

Watch that language, you're a southern belle Smiley Wink

I still like my bronzer but will do as was suggested here and wait till warm weather to wear it.  DH as proven over and over again to be a good "barometer/critique-r" of my makeup.  If I can look 12 at my age just by wearing pink blush, I'm all in Smiley Happy  But man, that CT and Rare Beauty bronzer...hard to beat!

Re: I think I'm over Bronzer???

Hi @monicakm I had the dior pink blush... I wanted it for a long time and debated and debated getting it. Mostly over price and the fact that I have a habit of buying lots of blush but not liking it.  I finally broke down and bought it-- DID NOT LOVE IT!  I rarely reached for it and eventually tossed it in a make up clean out.

Like I mentioned the Thrive Maggie-- I have bought that twice.  So that is saying something.  And I also like a pink shade from Mineral Fusion.  I think it's called bashful.  But I also sometimes just use a little of the lip color I am wearing.  I like that look a lot.

Re: I think I'm over Bronzer???

Bronzer confuses me----just not seeing why I would need it. and I had alot of them due to various beauty boxes over the years---not into the shine or the dazzle I guess--- but I do have one that I use as a shadow and even as a blush during the summer--it is very low key and the right shade of brown for my skin.

I am quite pale, the wrong of anything color can make me look "goth" if not careful!

Bronzer warms my skin so I don't appear, as my Mother would say, "like death warmed over"!

@wagirl

I have a Too Faced bronzer that has sparkle in it but my two favorites (by far) are Charlotte Tilbury and Rare Beauty cream bronzers.  They are both matte.

Re: I think I'm over Bronzer???

The Physicians Formula Murumuru butter bronzer I use is a powder to cream texture. Goes on smooth and adds the right amount of color. I haven't tried another kind of bronzer, but I don't need to because this is so good. I'm afraid others wouldn't match up, and the price is reasonable.
