I went to Ulta tonight to see just what was on the market for full coverage foundation. I can not have those parabans, dimethicones and other known break out items in the foundations . I have tried so many of them and have broken out so badly.
I was using BE Bare Pro,for well over a month and didn't I break out from that. The sales clerk I spoke with tonight was really knowledgeable and she said most likely it was the talc (which is the 1st ingredient in the Bare Pro)
I was able to get a good sales clerk tonight at Ulta and she showed me Tarte loose foundation. The ingredients listed looked fairly close to what is in BE loose mineral powder .
I have been using BE loose foundation for many years. I am just looking for something with more full coverage.
Ulta was all out of the color was matched with tonight. So I ordered my color on line. Should be here by Oct 19-20th. Wonder how this new foundation will be and most importantly, can I wear it without the break out.

I wore Tarte's loose powder foundation for years. It lasts a long time. I have acne-prone skin and I did not break out from it. I just switched to Bare Minerals Barepro powder foundation. I needed a change and love Barepro.
Before Tarte loose powder foundation I tried Bare Minerals Ready foundation and I did not like it. And before that I used Shisedo powder foundation and loved that until they changed the foundation formula. And I started it all with Bare Minerals loose foundation many years ago.
I don't think you will have a problem with break-outs with Tarte.

I used BareMinerals loose foundation for years, and have to say the Tarte Amazonian powder is far superior. I love the fininsh and coverage, and it comes in many shades. It has never broken me out. I was dissapointed to see the new BareMinerals Bare Pro is talc and silicones. I guess that's what can happen when you sell to a big company like Shishedo. I had no luck with the liquid BM serum foundation either - it just caked up on my face after about 10 minutes. New favorite liquid is the Josie Maran foundation that was in the TSV a couple of months ago.

I switched from Bare Minerals to Tarte when BE was sold as I did not like the serum foundation at all - cakey, flakey and made me look like death!! The original Tarte foundations have always been amazing performers - last all day and good for your skin. I have the powder, clay and rainforest foundations - the (liquid) clay I love in the winter months - seems to create a barrier between skin & elements; powder is buildable and rainforest feels really light on skin but with coverage if you can use any of them.
Noticed changes in their products recently and now know why - company was sold to Kose of Japan - no more Maureen and her guarantee of cruelty free and exceptional ingredients. I have quite a supply of Tarte, but not sure I will continue buying for myself in the future. Good luck in finding your perfect foundation!!

I love the tarte powder foundation. I actually like it better than the mare minerals minerals which I love too. No dimethicone, no talc...no breakouts and a really nice finish. I hope that you like it!
