One of my favorites is:

L'Oreal Colour Juice Sheer Juicy Peaches n' Creme

Nice pinky/peach color that lasts longer than any gloss I've used.

I'm not over 50, but stopped wearing matte lipsticks when I caught myself in bright sunlight applying it after lunch!   Too harsh!

 

Matte lipsticks are often highly pigmented .... but can look very good blotted with a sheer gloss over them.

 

However ....  I found a GREAT lipcolor at Walmart, of all places, for $5 a tube and they are the best ...  and lasts longer than any gloss I've ever used!

 

It's Rimmel Color Rush Long Lasting Intense Color Balm  (I like Sunkissed #610), which is a very flattering rosy coral ... it's sort of a long lasting highly pigmented gloss.    One of my best finds!

 

 

 

 

 

For five bucks a pop, they may be worth a try!!
