I need some help

I never had to use an eyebrow pencil in my life. I got my eyebrows waxed today and the lady said if I would use a brow pencil to make my brows a little darker it could really "open up" my eyes. I am at a loss on this subject. Anyone have any recommendations or advice to help me out. She said my brows are light and a bit sparse in some places and an eyebrow pencil would really help me.
