Re: I need a different hairspray, help please

I have been using Sebastian for years myself, and my hair is getting drier as well, never thought of the spray, but maybe it is. I think the formula has changed as well. I will have to find something else too.

Matrix Proforma Amplify Volume. It holds really well without feeling sticky and heavy.

Re: I need a different hairspray, help please

I found one!!

I was also looking for a new hairspray since they changed the formula of the SAMY Fat Hair.

I stopped in the salon at Walmart and she suggested Kenra Volume Spray #25 (make sure it is the 25) and OMG it is the best hairspray ever! Goes on very light, holds without feeling stiff, hair shines without going flat like other sprays do to my thick hair and nice light scent. Also helps hold in the humidity. Read the reviews and it is an award winner.

I was set to try Loreal Elnett that gets good praises here but I think the Kenra is my favorite hairspray ever and I have tried many.

I haven't used this, but Nick Chavez has a hairspray called Thirst Quencher Hydrating Hairspray with Argan Oil. The description says that it gives medium hold, doesn't leave a build-up and gives the hair shine. Nick's also having a free shipping sale at his website now.

Another vote for L'Oreal Elnett! In my area it's in the grocery stores, Rite-Aid, Walmart, and Walgreens.

I tried it and found it sticky and the scent objectionable. Just goes to prove that we all have different experiences with different products.

I'm with you...that scent was horrible. Had to come home and wash my hair...scent just never faded away. Glad it didn't cost much.

I have not had much luck w/ sprays...tried most of them, but they don't seems to hold a curl very well w/o getting the helmet head look...which w/ my long hair...so not good. Down to an inexpensive brand called IT 24 hours extra hold. Do not think it's connected to IT cosmetics...as I get it at a local grocery store.

Re: I need a different hairspray, help please

I used to use Sammy, also. Just recently, I have bought and like Jose Eber' and Martino Cartier @ HSN. Both very good, giving body, volume but remaining soft. I'm very picky about hairspray and hard to please. These two are good. My hair is short, fine and stick straight.
