I agree with both of you, and am taking a second look at many products I have used before, think of using, and am looking at alternative products and pricing. I just refuse to pay these prices because as long as we all do, they will continue to rise on ALL of us, and it will be a vicious circle of them constantly raising prices as we feed them by purchasing.

It has to stop, for me, I'll boycott, buy alternatives or do what I must. Money needs to spread further as I get older and older !!

I know what you are saying. You can always find inexpensive things that do a more efficient job of whatever you're trying to do. That's what I did a few years ago, and I am so happy with the simple things I use now. Even if funds weren't the issue. Like superfine sugar, for example, as my morning face wash. That is the best a.m. wash I have ever used!

I'm right there with you ladies. The S&H charges have gotten WAY out of control! I realize that rates have gone up, BUT, this is why I am buying local products and saving a lot of money. For example, the today's special. Price is $69.95, tax in my state is 6.75% which equals $4.72. S&H is $6.97. This totals $81.65! NO THANK YOU!! I know a lot of women use and love this line, and I'm happy for them. For me, I cannot use any type of powder. Makes me look SO much older, and who needs that! LOL.

I understand, to each their own. But, for me, I choose to support what poster #2 says. This vicious cycle has to hopefully stop somewhere.

I have cut back drastically on spending at QVC in the last few years. I remember a few years ago when the beauty TSV's were usually around $39.99 or so. Now the lowest priced ones are usually $59.00 which are becoming fewer and far between and the average priced ones are $69.00 to $88.00 and up. And don't get me started about the shipping and handling costs. I do purchase at other beauty sites that offer free shipping and handling and usually 15 - 20% off sales. Most of the QVC beauty vendors have these on their sites, so if you get on their mailing lists they send you emails alerting you of the sales.

I used to buy a lot of philosophy, but suddenly my philosophy changed. I started to look at the prices per ounce and I realized I had a limit.

Figure out what you're spending per ounce and you will discover your limit.

I never buy Phil from the Q, but from their website, today is 25% off if you spend $50 and free shipping too.

Not trying to be snarky here, but one would think that the increase in prices would result in some improvement in that wretched website! It remains a thorn in the side of consumers.

I would not order Philosophy products if they were free. There are way too many higher quality, better priced products available.
