Re: I'm over IT Cosmetics and more

I have not watched IT since the tall vendor rep took the job.  She is friendly but way too loud - in your face - and I can (almost) see her vocal cords.  Mouth wide open almost yelling at us.  Do buy 2 items from QVC.com

I don't watch any Q cosmetic shows & buy the products I use from IT & Paula's Choice on their websites.

Another Paula’s Choice user here. I order from her website all the time. Great values & free shipping; I receive my orders within ~3 days of ordering.

A poster here mentioned Paula's Choice for oily problem skin & since other lines were a fail decided to try it. I use the Clear cleanser & the Skin Perfecting 2% BHA liquid, I'm so pleased with the results that I'm tempted to try more of her products but my skin is so finicky.  The website is easy to use, great sales & my last order with FS arrived in 2 days...can't ask for more.

I’m a dry-skin girl, but I think there are plenty other PC lovers on this forum with skin type similar to yours. I suggest starting a new thread specific to PC & oily skin & you should get a lot of suggestions.

This is a good place to vent your frustrations, so those of you that are ready to tell me "if you don't like it, don't buy it" can save it. I am so tired of IT cosmetics, their constantly overly excited reps and the same products being offered either on TV or .com. I am so happy QVC has brought UD and Becca in to offer some alternatives. We used to have so many more options for clothing, jewelry, makeup, everytihng and I've spent SO much money at the Q over the years I don't even want to know. They seem to be narrowing down their presentations and offerings to I assume what sells the best; or maybe the brands are getting tired of them!

And for those of you that say, just don't watch, there was a time in my life where QVC was my friendly, fun place I could go to get away from things. It wasn't just a TV channel.  I could count on the hosts' expertise and friendliness and if a product was offered by QVC, I could count on it. So for people like me, it IS sad to see those things go away.

That may seem ridiculous to some of you, but many of you long timers know what I'm saying.

@joanluvz   I get it, but unfortunately the “heads of Q” either don’t read here or do and don’t give a fig what we like or not and what we’d like to see. They’re interested in making money. The shows that appear way too often are bringing in the cash. Customers are purchasing enough of these products to take up that much time air time. It is what it is.

I am a “long timer” and I DO understand the frustration. I’ve stopped watching Q and purchase what I like elsewhere without the sale’s pitch, shipping which keeps going up,  and repetition of products.

I do like a couple of their things, primarily for the silk they use in the powders. Even Hourglass does not come close.

Ah, yes, the lack of options....

Can't say I miss Capodimonte, though.

@Harpa  Ahh, Capodimonte.  That was one of my favorite brands to watch on QVC during the period they featured collectible shows.  I loved it, but since I only have one residence and limited space there is a finite amount of collecting I can do.  Collectibles are actually a low return item for retailers so from that perspective it's good to retailers.  That said collecting stuff is something that seems to be going out of style.  If fewer people are buying then it no longer has profit value to retailers. It stands to reason why QVC, and other retailers as well, would have less of this type of merchandise in their inventory.

I agree 100%! I quit watching IT presentations. Same for Josie Maran. I'm sick of watching these over and over. Philosphy is not far behind.

I get tired of the constant airings also but even more so for Josie Maran.
