I would like to find something I've never looked for before-a daytime/nightime moisturizing night creme yet works for daytime. Maybe not in those words but you know what I mean.  I guess it would have to be special to work both times! Not your drugstore brands but not something that will break the bank, either. Would like it to contain peptides as a plus. Is there such an animal?

@Judaline ...........I have used the same moisturizing cream for day and night for years and years.  I dont believe that creams know whether its daylight or dark.  IMO  its another gimick.

If you go for night cream and wear that during the daytime it might be too heavy and contain ingredients that are light-sensitive (retinol) which will not be useful for daytime use. That's fine if you need a heavy-hitter moisturizer during the day and you're staying away from the sun and makeup. Day creams usually contain things which help protect your skin from environmental stressors (UV, pollution, makeup) plus day creams are lighter weight and absorb more quickly so you can put on your makeup on top of it.

Pick one based on your lifestyle and go with that. Just stay away with wearing a cream with SPF at night.

There should be some creams out there that say apply day and night.  Lord knows there are plenty of serums that say that. I guess the fewer "treatment" ingredients the better so you don't have to worry about sun sensitivity and such.  I know the only thing my mother wore was Oil of Olay, but back then there was only one product.  I can't wear their products though.  They break me out.  I know you said not necessarily drug store, but you might look at Neutrogena or Aveeno.

Another line I'm particularly fond of is M Asam on HSN.  Been using their products for years.  Most, if not all, of their creams are for either/both day and night.  They have a skin tightening line, a collagen line, a hydrating line, etc.   They currently have a 2 pk of their Skin Tightening Cream for $48 which is described as "A day and a night cream in one product, especially developed for mature skin to help firm the appearance of your skin."

Skinn makes some great moisturizers with peptides.  I use the Collagenesis Deep Wrinkle Protocol Creme Reverse several mornings per week, alternating with Alpha Skincare Body Lotion, and I use the Skinn Pep 40 Creme Riche at night.  You don't have to do the same.  I bet you could choose one of the Skinn products and use it AM and PM.

People are raving about e.l.f.'s Holy Hydration products. I tried to buy one from my local Walmart but it was all sold out.

This is the one I tried to get but it was all sold out:

E.l.f. Holy Hydration Face Cream Fragrance Free - 1.8oz : Target

They make a night cream, too, but I wasn't interested in it.

Typically daytime moisturizers are lighter than nightime moisturizers.  Nighttime is also where you'll have more of your heavy hitter ingredients.  Do a Google search for moisturizers with peptides.  You'll know by reading the description if it's day time or night time.  My face is uber dry but I wouldn't want to put a night moisturizer on during the day/under makeup.
