How about like Dylan Dreyer's hair?

@lolakimono. . . . I think you've found MY new hair style!! I've also been looking for something new. My hair is brown (as long as I color the grey), fine but not too thin with a wave that blows out to a bit of body. I am 60 yrs old - ok, 61 next month - with a rounded face and higher cheeks. I need something that will be easy to do. Think this will fit the bill?
Hugs. . .

@Lipstickdiva Felt the same way 3 months ago, I've had the same stylist since the mid 80's & was so sick of the same old thing. Did a search of salons in my area, picked one & just walked in, I met a young lady & asked if she could to talk to me about styles that would suit me & how she would cut & color my hair. I was impressed with her ideas & the time she took with me but needed a few days to think about it....I did make an appointment & it worked out great, just what I needed. Hope the idea of going for a consult before committing to change helps you too.

I didn't read all of the replys, but I'd go to my stylist with pictures I had gooled and ask for the best one for my type of hair that I can do without killing someone!!! LOL!!!

That's the haircut I just am getting rid of. My hair is fine, so with this style it can get too flat and limp. I had shorter bangs, and some I could wear sort of as bangs, but it isn't good for my hair.
I need shorter at the top and sides and top making it easier to get a little volume.

I got my hair cut into a pixie, it had been shoulder length.
It is just like the model on the left. It is actually a very versatile cut. I can do a lot with it or just shake and let dry, still comes out cute. Mine is golden red though.

@Lipstickdiva, I wore a bob for years at different lengths and enough is enough. Why not consider longer or medium layers and a short do? I don't have fine hair but my hair is normal but still needs a lift. I have to use products and I learned I need to tease it just a bit by the bangs and a little on the sides. Not the old fashion teasing with a bee hive but just to give a little lift. You will probably feel better changing it and talk to your stylist if she/he is reliable. it's only hair and grows back.

@LipstickdivaHave you ever had this haircut (not the color). And it doesn't have to be this long. I have worn my hair in this style for a long time. Sometimes I have lots of layers and then I will let the layers grow out. But not everyone can cut this right. When I finally found the right woman, I can wash my hair, blow it dry and go. Or I sometimes will use a flatiron for a sleek look. Just make sure, they don't have the front be too long compared to the back or you will look like you have puppy dog ears.

Maybe try some wispy bangs and highlights...
