@Icegoddess  I use a fan brush...less product on the brush & on the cheeks. Tap the brush on the back of your hand before application. Blowing on brushes deposits bacteria....sorry.

Funny,  I love that blush, and don't find it bright at all.  I use a Bobbi Brown blush brush and just tap some color onto the brush and very lightly touch my cheek in upward circles when I apply.  It's such a natural pretty color.   As others have suggested, maybe use a less dense brush (which I do) and blow on the brush before you put it to your cheek to get off any excess.
