I am pleasantly surprised @ Lo'real Preference...

Beauties,

I was horrified when I first put on Lo'real Preference Medium Golden Brown...it came out deep auburn (think deep burgandy) on me and I said to myself, "Girl, what were you thinking! You look like Elvira and are ready for Halloween!" I then said to myself, "Oh well, you are going to live with it for 3 mos. and then go lighter, so deal with it." BUT...

Three shampoos/conditioners later...

It has turned into a beautiful deep, rich toffee...now I have green eyes and light golden skin w/some tan left over from the summer. Others have said they liked it at least has covered the greys which is what I wanted in the first place. But I am not normally that dark in natural hair color which was my goal when I colored my hair...to get as close to my natural shade as I could. But I may have had a happy accident. So my point is...don't be afraid to go a few shades darker than your natural color if you are older you will find that you might really like the new you!
