Some hair salons and dressing rooms have the worst mirrors ! You would think they would realize that they may have more repeat customers if their lighting was more flattering.

Outdoor lighting tells no lies.  That's why in the past smart ladies used to try on foundation, and other makeup too, then step outside to see how it looks before buying.

As for hyperpigmentation a product with a decent content of vitamin C can help even out the skintone.  There are lso some good topicals which are specifically designed for managing discloration.  Hyperpigmentation is a lifelong problem for me and one which commonly plagues dark skintones. One of my favorite products for mantaining an even skin tone is Vichy's ProEven Daily Dark Spot Corrector. It's expensive, but Vichy is sold at a lot of places where you can frequently use coupons or discount codes such as Dermstore and Skinstore, Walgreens website and and some Walgreens locations.

When I put on my makeup, I always look in my 15x magnify mirror to make sure my foundation is looking good.  Now I always look in my car mirror and have no problems at all.  I purchased a 15x magnify mirror that swivels and has a regular mirror on the other side.  I was standing in line at Nordstrom Rack in December and saw this mirror and it was under $20 and it's either a 7 in. or 8 in. around.

Korres meno-reverse is supposed to be good for that. I got a sample and was really impressed.

Avoid mirrors lol. They don't make them the way they used to...🤔

Another tip: never look at your iPad if it’s in selfie mode below your face 😳

I too once looked into my car mirror as I was hurrying out...late again...and glanced up and screamed. I was interrupted earlier while putting on my makeup and somehow only did ONE eye. Yikes....scared myself.

I used to look good in mirrors.  Now I don't.  It must be the mirrors' fault.
