I've never ever (that I can remember) had flaking on my face.  This appeared at the bottom outside of one nostril.  I'm assuming it's the Retin-A.  So I guess that means it's "working".  The area isn't red.  I just had two little flakes of skin that came right off.  I thought it would have happened earlier on.

Avoid applying tret around the nostrils, especially on the nasolabial fold areas and down around the corners of the mouth.

Like forever?  I haven't had any issues so far.  What will happen?

That's just the way it's done. Avoid around the nostrils and the folds around the nose as well.

This is where it goes but some people apply it on the under-eye areas , bridge of nose and above the lips also.

Well dang!  I've been putting it all over my face except on the eyelid.  Wait, I thought women applied it above the lip to fix the lines that can develop there.  What happens to these areas if you use it on them?  Aren't there "signs of aging" in these areas?  What about crows feet and crinklies?

I apply all over my face including my eyelids and I use 1% Tretinon. You can use a little moisturizer around the corners of your lips and nostrils before applying the Tretinon.

I'm still figuring it out.  Sometimes I put a hydrating formula on a couple of hours before and a moisturizer on afterward.  Sometimes no hydration...but that just irks me not to use any type of hydration at night.  Just seems wrong.  I've been applying tret for about 6 weeks.  The first 2 weeks was every other night because I didn't have any side effects.  Then I quickly went to every night and still no side effects till this one tiny area of flaking.  Makes me wonder what other side effects might pop up.  I thought it would happen in the beginning of using the product.

I have been using the Tret for years but never have any side effects. All I have ever used is 1%. I wash my face and wait a half hour then apply the Tret, wait a half an hour and moisturize. If I feel tight I add some Josie Argon oil for a few nights.

Right now I am off and on the Tret. I am doing three rounds of RF Microneedling  in between three rounds Clear Lift Face Lift. I have to stop the Tret for three days before each one and four days after. My fave never gives me any issues when starting back up.
