Hyperpigmentation

Hi, I'm a new philosophy girl!

I am African American and I have some hyperpigmentation on my cheeks. What can you recommmend that I use to get "makeup optional skin"? My skin is smooth, more oliy than normal and I have a caramel brown color, with the dark spots being more milk chocolate in color.
