Huda's Kayali Just Isn't For Me

This is the 3rd Kayali fragrance I've tried.  Today I got #21 (Vanilla Coco).  I liked it better than the other two BUT it has no lasting scent on me.  The others did but this one was gone is about 15 minutes.  So disappointed.  Guess it's just not meant to be.  Might give the Fenty fragrance a try.

Are you able to return the fragrances?

Good grief!  I kept one lol  Vanilla 28.  I like it but like KatCat says it makes a better layering scent.  I purchased the $100 bottle from Sephora of Invite Only.  There was no doubt in my mind I would like it.  I didn't and I was able to return it.  Two or three of the scents came from eBay in the form of 2 and 5ml tester vials.

@monicakm, if you like vanilla/coconut and want an EDP that lasts, you might want to try Comptoir Sud Pacifique. I have had both Vanille Abricot and Coco Extreme for years and they still smell fresh and they LAST. The only reason they weren’t used up years ago is because we can no longer wear fragrance in the workplace. CSP makes a variety of vanilla scents. It’s expensive, but lasts forever and smells delicious. You used to be able to get samples on eBay. Check it out if you are interested. With scents, you get what you pay for.

@monicakm  Too bad Utopia Vanilla Coco doesn't last on your skin. I love it because its a lighter version of Querlain Terracotta & also it works best in high heat. It does last on my skin. I get a light to moderate projection for about 2 hrs. then it becomes a skin scent & outdoors it really come alive but in a soft way so its not cloying. I also have her Vanilla 28 which is longer lasting for me & love that on its own & layered but waiting for some cooler weather. I also was gifted her discovery set.

I could be wrong but I don't think KatCat has tryed Kayali. It was you & me who showed an interest. Yes, her scents are excellent for layering. I have other tropical scents of tr but Utopia is a keeper. Utopia on top of Kylie's coconut lotion is great for even longer lasting power instead of a unscented.

   If someone is looking for strong scent that leaves a trail those 2 I mentioned are not going to work for them.

@Kabella

I don't think this is the first time I've confused these two names...Kabella and Katcat.  So sorry!  I wish I could decipher, distinguish and discuss fragrance like you do Smiley Happy

May I ask how you apply your fragrances?

Many years ago when I worked at Macy's dept. store in the makeup department myself and several other gals were sent to "perfume school".  We were told that a scent moves upward and they suggested starting with a small spray behind your knees, on your wrists, in the bend of your arms, on your neck and in your hair.  Now that sounds like a lot but these are short sprays...very short. DO NOT rub any where since rubbing removes the scent and leaves the alcohol.  Also all these places are warm which is good for the scent.

If the fragrance is strong like many are today, I may skip a few places but I tend to have most scents last on me.

HTH!

@Silverfox1

Thanks for the info.  Yes, knew about all the pulse points for applying fragrance, I just don't do it Smiley Surprised  And I don't rub my fragrance like I see so many do.  That's another no-no.  I spray inside wrists/arms, neck/chest.  Sometimes I spray some in my hands and pat.  I've also sprayed it on my hands to run thru my hair but have never sprayed it directly on my hair.
