I have medium length colored blonde hair and I go every 8 weeks for a root touch up and a haircut.  I haven't ever let the color grow out, but I assume I'm gray headed.  I'm with the OP - I can't afford to go to my hairdresser more than that!

About every 3 to 4 months. I don't have any gray so no need to go sooner and have it colored. I used to go about every 6 months but since I've been taking a few different supplements and treating my scalp with a laser device, my hair is growing faster and fuller. I'm thrilled about that!

I go every 6 weeks but it really needs it every 5 weeks.  My hair is thin and looks straggly if I let it go any longer.

I can go a long time without getting my hair cut.  Sometimes 2 months (even a little over that).  What I have a problem with are roots.  My roots come in horribly fast.  I can start seeing them 2 weeks after my color job.
