The ones you notice  are the 'bad dye jobs'. Done right hair coloring looks natural and totally real, not fake.

I don't know any men who dye their hair. I used to have an uncle, God rest his soul, who dyed his hair jet black, and moustache too. It was very obvious and I always wondered why he bothered.

One of my old bosses colored his hair.  It was done professionally.  I honestly never even knew because they left a few gray straglers here and there so it wasn't one, flat color.  The only reason I figured it out was because there must have been a snafu and he came in with very orangish/blonde hair.  A couple days later it was back to normal.  LOL  

I don't know any men who dye their hair black but I know a few women who do and have that shoe polish look.
