Because it is fun to change up your look now and then.
I have navy blue eyes and there are lots of colors that I can use. If I use browns, my blue gets deeper. If I use violets, I pick up violet in my eyes. If I use coppers, I get a more cobalt color.
If you aren't good with color mixing, it's fine to stay with a tried and true palette. If you are adept at application and mixing, variety is the spice of life.

I'm good with two or three.

On 10/18/2014 happy housewife said:I also have green eyes and usually wear purples. I sometimes wear taupe/brown. I have tried other colors but am never happy with them. I think the purples look the best.I'm not criticizing I am curious what ladies do with all those colors is all. I have always used just the purple shades because they best accent my eye color - i thought that was supposed to be the point of wearing eye shadow - to accent eye color. i was looking at one of those kits that has several different blushes - I always wear the same blush -and about 20 different eyeshadow colors, and I thought I'd only use about 10% of what was in that kit.

I think a lot of women are just experimenting to see which colors they look good in. I keep a neutral palette and an amethyst duo. Over the years that""s what I always go back to. I have blue/grey eyes.

i don't know how many that you all need, but i only have one now. well actually two. the main color that i wear is kind of a neutral/khaki/olive type color and i sometimes cut it with a little bit of pink. that's it. every day ...no matter what i wear.

I have blue/grey eyes (sometimes they look green too - I'm weird). I used pretty much every color of eyeshadow depending on what I'm wearing and my mood.

I wear a suit to work every day, so my look has to be flattering but not over the top. I've found that with my skin tone and hair color, the best shad, e eye shadow for me is a soft, matte taupe, with a smidge of ivory for highlight.
