I organize it by foundations together....brushes together....all lip products together and so on.

I purchased a make up holder by Lori G. here at the Q....mine is white which matches the trim in my master bath...that sits on my vanity area in same room. My vanity has a large drawer with many personal care items in it plus any unopened/new products or sample packs....contact lens and so on. The side drawers hold hair dryer/brushes/velcro rollers all in one....other plug in devices like my sonicare toothbrush base charger (only take it out to charge then put away)...plug in foot sander thing...basically items like this. I also purchased a really pretty makeup organizer from Amazon...white...has organizer on top for all my brushes and some large products like hairspray. Then 2 small drawers below for more items like bronzers or blush. Love it so pretty with a beautiful crystal jewel for the draw pulls.

THEN I have a hanging mirror cosmetic organizer....goes over the door...I have lot's of skincare items stored inside from purchases of "kits" that I didn't use all the products. I also installed a LED on wall swing out arm mirror that I can stand right next to and apply my eye makeup. That mirror is so helpful.

I try to group things together the best I can....I still have WAY to much and did toss alot about 1 week ago.

I use a 4 compartment cup holder for the brushes, tubes, mascara etc. and then a plastic bin for the rest. I keep it in the cupboard under my bathroom sink. I don't have a huge collection - have really whittled it down during Covid.
