I am really lazy about cleaning my brushes...I use baby shampoo but only clean my foundation brush once a week or so...my eye make up brushes even less often - I'm embarrassed to say - I tried cleaning them with alcohol, but thought the shampoo did a better job...I think my foundation would go on better if I cleaned my brush every day or other day, tho'

I put a drop of Purity in my palm and swish the wet makeup brush around rinse and repeat until it rinses clean. I found Purity really cleans the brushes well and is gentle on the brush heads.

I use Dawn liquid dish soap. Cleans well and my brushes last forever.

I too have found Dawn to be the best. Even cleans the beauty blender beautifully.

I have a cleaner I bought by elf for $3.00 that I use inbetween washing. I use the hand soap that is sulfate free to clean my brushes and it does a job.

Plain old rubbing alcohol. Dries quickly, and I haven't damaged a brush yet.
