Re: How do Ulta reward points work?

I agree that the cashier will not tell you that you have accumulated enough points to get $ off your purchase. I think points eventually expire (year?).

Basic info: 1 pt for every dollar spent, every 100 points equals 3.00 off any purchase. No samples like Sephora.

Re: How do Ulta reward points work?

I have had great success with Ulta's reward points. They run 3x and 5x points specials and the points can pile up. Also, they have been really good about redeeming the points. I was shocked because I have dealt with so many bad clerks at Ulta, posted sales that don't ring up, and on and on.

You have to have 400 pts to reach Platinum status , which makes you eligible for special offers. But , if you use them you lose your Platinum status and have to start all over again. I'm thinking that I liked the old way better. At least at Sephora , once you reach VIB status it is good for the entire year.

Platinum status is good for the remainder of the year in which you qualify and for the following year. Sounds like they fixed the problem you're mentioning. ETA: And I've used my points a few times now. I prefer getting the cash discount (on top of the coupons).
