I'm trying to post a photo of the type of hairstyle I'm looking for with no luck. Can anyone tell me how I can style my hair to look like a wavy, not curly, bob? I would appreciate any replies and if someone can post some photos, that would be so helpful. Is there some type of styling tool I would need to buy? Thank you.

Braid your hair at night, wear a silk or satin do rag & finger comb the hair the next morning. Optional: Use a wide tooth comb.
Why can't you post a pic?

Anything like this? This is somewhat of a fingerwave bob, reminiscent of a flapper girl.
or
a beachwave bob.

@Nonametoday, the second photo. My hair is fine and stick straight and around shoulder length. Thank you for the photos.

@Mz iMac , thanks. I can try your suggestion. No idea why my photo wouldn't post.

Some of those people who sell those flat/curling irons on QVC have done that hairstyle with the electric curler things they sell. I don't use that style. I have pretty thick hair that I just shampoo, blow and go with a round brush, and I am done.
I do think this is a lovely style and if you have a hairdresser, take the picture of Megyn to her or tell her you want a bob with beach waves and to cut it and style it so you know how to do it from that point forward.

Rollers.

If you are trying to achieve a look like the second picture use either hot rollers or a curling iron. Your hair should come out twice as curly as the photo prior to lightly brushing. It's crucial that all sections of the hair be entirely cool prior to brushing out. I wear my hair like this most days and this is what I do. I should mention my hair is much longer than the photo. I spray the wavey part and it holds for about 2 days.

Look into electric hair wavers. Bed Head makes a couple of good ones that cost $30-$40. Just be aware that heat can damage fine hair. Be sure to use a heat protectant. By the way, there are plenty of hair styling demos on YouTube.
