Very happy with how with how my peels going. How is everyone else doing? Would love to hear any hints and successes.
I have been doing the 40% lactic peels for about 3 weeks. I do one about every 5-6 days. I am in my late 50's have no wrinkles, a few lines around my eyes and some melasma on my neck, the pores in my chin were large and my complexion overall was dull.
With the peels my skin is very smooth, the chin is looking very good and the melasma on my neck is lightening up.
I leave my peel on about 5-6 minutes and it is not comfortable. I prep by washing well and then swiping my face with witch hazel. I wait for it to dry completely and then apply the peel. I use a q-tip to put vaseline on my lips and the corners of my eyes first. I rinse repeatedly with cool water, wash again with Ivory soap and rinse again with baking soda.
I don't have any remaining redness and as soon as I start to rinse my skin is comfortable. I use the vaseline because on my second peel I was not careful with the application and irratated my mouth.
