How To Get Rid Of Brown Spots On My Face!!

I was looking at my face in the mirror of my car and coulnd't believe I had very small brown spots all over my face!! I even have a 10X mirror that I use everyday and never saw these spots. I never wore foundation but was interested to know if I get a product to lighten these brown spots would they come back? I need some recommendations to lighten brown spots.TIA
