I am curious ladies, how long do you keep your eyeshadows? I use multiple palettes and never really get to the bottom of them. I have used them for well over a year. I am really good about changing out eyeliners and mascara, but with shadows I am less concerned. Should I be changing these out more often?
Many thanks in advance, have a great day!

I use a powder and I shake out a bit to use. Brush never touches the rest of the powder. So - I keep it forever.

I keep them as long as I'm still using them (sometimes I find something I like better and use that instead). Honestly, I've never had an issue with pressed powder shadows. I've been using a couple Laura G. pallettes every day lately, and they show absolutely no signs of wear. They may outlast ME!

Forever, but I'm realizing as I go back to some of the older ones they aren't as nice as the newer products. Constant improvement in makeup, so I guess eyeshadows are no exception.

I don't worry so much about powdered eyeshadows. I'd be more concerned about cream types (pots or crayons), that the oils in them would get funky or rancid after too long.

Up to at least 15 years..... works just fine!

Maybe decades!!

Until I die. :-)
Once in a while, I'll take a tissue and wipe the surface off, but other than that, if it doesn't smell funny and it still applies well, it's good to go, IMO.

I have had some powder eyeshadows for 5 years or so....They are still fine, I wouldn't do that with a cream eyeshadow or liner though.....I know Bare Minerals powders don't go bad, at least I don't think that they do, and I have had some of mine for years........

I stopped buying palettes of anything years ago. I know what shades flatter me most and tend to stay in that color range. Why would I use less flattering colors?
