Thanks for the information. I used my Omnilux for the recommended time. Some days I missed for one reason or another but for the most part I used it happily.
I was not using anything that was mentioned, Tretinoin, acne medication etc. I have pretty good skin. The brown spots started to appear so quickly I was shocked after two years. As you can imagine I was pretty upset.
My skin is light to medium. I tan very easily.
I have heard the same comments many times over regarding hyperpigmentation resulting directly from their masks. I just wanted to give a heads up that all masks are not created equal, and not for everyone.

I agree with you @SilleeMee and always appreciate your input.
I've used several RL masks. I have the one @SilleeMee posted about. My second one from that company. The main issue they have is that they short out where the power cord enters the mask. It's happened with every flexible mask I've had.
I bought a cheaper one from Amazon to use while my currentbody was being returned and reissued (because of this defect), and I began using the new currentbody about a week ago. I see a difference already, an improvement in my skin radiance I guess I'd say.
I also use the Nira Pro, not the newest one.
My routine helped with spots, especially on my hands. But recently two spots have shown up on my hands. So I stopped using the Nira on them and am only using the RL mask on them. With serious application of a Vit C cream. They seem to be improving.
I edited this because I have never used an omnilux and realized I'd made a mistake in my original post. Sorry for miscommunicating.

@Icegoddess I have used a rlt mask for over 2 years and it helps the redness in my skin and gives a better over all appearance to my face. My Omnilux died and I bought the first CurrentBody mask before the new one was introduced. I also have a neck and dec mask that I got on ShopHQ when they had a sale (don't remember the brand). I use that mask to treat my chin and neck area by putting the neck treatment part under my chin and the straps over my head. I also have the NIRA precision laser, the Pro and the Pro 2nd Generation (formerly known as the Pro+). The NIRA Pro 2nd Generation is my favorite treatment to reduce wrinkles (I don't have many) and add firmness. You don't use a gel with the NIRA and just move the laser on the beeps as directed. I also use the Pro on my hands.

This is what I mean when I say the new CB doesn't lay flat:
Also notice the mouth opening is smaller which means there is more coverage around that area with less light escaping.
That one looks great.
I especially like the wrapped chin and smaller mouth opening. It's funny that you mentioned the smaller mouth too because that is another pet peeve I have with my OmniLux, the mouth opening is too big and lacking red lights around it.
So what I've done to kinda address those problems is to use my old school hand held light stem devices (had for years, I've been using RLT for a loooong time) and I hold it under my chin inbetween my Face and Neck & Dec masks to get my upper under chin area and after the treatment I'll do a 3 minute light stem treatment just on and around my mouth.
Also, curious, since you say you have the Nira Pro+, do you recommend it?
I bought the Nira Pro last year during Black Friday sale, where they had buy a Pro and get a Precision for free. I liked the Pro but hated the Precision. After about 2 months my Pro started to malfunction so I just sent it all back for a refund.
I'm thinking of getting the Pro+ during Black Friday this year.
Is there anything else I should look at instead? I know you are always up on the latest....
Thanks so much for any help.![]()

Yes, I'm very happy with the Pro+. In fact I own two of them b/c they work for me. Having two means I don't have to stop and recharge in the middle of treatment. Recharging takes 3 hours. Plus if one malfunctions then I have a backup.
I'll be using the NIRAs from now on. I don't plan on looking for greener pastures b/c I think for a home laser the NIRA is as good as they get.

Wonderful! Good to know, your rec makes me feel a little better about spending the big bucks.
Now, I just have to wait for the sales!
Thanks so much!![]()

I saved my money for a long time. I wanted to buy a new laser and I knew it wasn't going to be cheap. Kept looking for sales and coupons then finally they came along. Still expensive but for me it's worth it. I hope that, if you decide to get one, it will work for you like it has for me. ![]()

Thanks, I think it will work out as I really did like the Pro until it malfunctioned and the Pro+ should be better.
It is a lot of money but I always tell myself it's my FACE and NECK and that's a big deal and it's so much cheaper to maintain and treat at home than to get professional work done. I've always been more of a DIY'er anyway.

FWIW the hsn program guide shows a currentbody today’s special on 10/29.
Currentbody has stopped making their original mask. Qvc sold it a while back and I believe CB is 'unloading' their old stock of the original masks. You can find them being sold in other places, too. I'm willing to bet that the upcoming Hsn TS will be that older mask.
