there are so few cosmetics, high end, that don't have less expensive equivalents. I think the trick is finding less expensive that are also cruelty free.

Having said that I still haven't found a cheaper product that performs, for my hair, like Wen does so to me it's worth the price of admission.

The Coola Daydream mineral primer w/ sunscreen is amazing stuff @ 42.00; can't find a primer/sunscreen that I DONT need to use a powder afterwards! Beautiful matte finish!

@Andreatoo so very true!! This is the hard part for sure!

The coola primer sounds interesting. I don't normally use primers but would be willing to try this since it has SPF, especially since it is a physical sunscreen. I like a few of Coola's products that I've tried (samples from my birchbox).

I bought Penny Talk after seeing it identified here. I loved the color on the BE rep too. There were a couple of posts that claimed it was hard to apply and look nice.  I just returned from a mani-pedi and my nail tech had no problem applying the color.  It looks great!

I agree!  Neutrogena works for me.

Re: High-end products that are worth every penny

What is considered high end? i use neutrogena products and several people listed that as high end, I consider that an average priced item. I love Aveeno daily moisturizer lotion on my hands and body throughout the day and someone at worked commented that I use expensive lotion, that is not expensive to me. I spent $130 on HSN for the SCA vitamin C kit but it contains ld 14 items, price per item compares to drugstore products and Priceline. I love Lancôme mascara and Merle Norman mascara, I would consider those to be high priced compared to great lash which is a good product and it was at dollar general the other day for $3.75. I do love certain products but I do not think I purchase high end products but others may think I do.
