High cholesterol-lovaza prescription fish oil

Has anyone heard of Lovaza the prescription fish oil? I went to get it and my copayment was $700.00!!!!! I guess it's to treat high triglycerides. Isn't that crazy? There is no generic yet and I guess it's pure and doesn't contain what OTC fish oil does. My triglycerides went up quickly and I am 43. I don't want to take cholesterol medicine and won't pay $700.00. Anyone have proven ways to lower triglycerides? Or know how to get lovaza cheaper ??
