You could wear cheap clothes and carry a wmart bag, but you choose to spend money on "very good quality wardrobe essentials or a very good quality handbag."

Maybe I like some high-end cosmetics, because I have difficult coloring. Most of my cosmetics are high-end -- drug store stuff does not work for me. But guess what? My house is paid off, I have a retirement plan that lasts the rest of my life, and I have ZERO debt. So, if I want to buy Bobbi Brown or Estee Lauder, what business is it of yours?

ITA! Now, where is that deer eating popcorn?

I hate that deer image. I like deer though. They have great eyelashes. Lol.

I got a lot of my "high end" makeup in gifts with purchase. I buy a fragrance, a powder, or a foundation when they have good gifts and and I get eye shadows, mascara and such free.

As long as women can afford it and it makes them happy, I don't care what people spend their money on.

and that is the bottom line{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

I agree. I'm surprised that some even feel the need to defend their purchases.

I'm also surprised that anyone would suggest that a person's choice, whether it be high-end, low-end, or no-end, is somehow not the right one. I may personally feel more comfortable with one of the "ends," but I can't imagine expressing surprise that others can't be happy with a different "end" than mine.

Seems like weird judgmental questions to post on a beauty board where most ladies like makeup and skin care. Someone could ask the same question about spending $6 per day on coffee but who cares, buy what you like, what works for you, and what fits in your budget and don't worry about what anyone else does.

I do use some high end skin care as the ingredients mostly tempt me to,purchase. Color cosmetics are a different story, I buy what I like, whether drugstore or department store. I do buy expensive leather goods, not very often though, but handbags are my passion.

OP - I totally understand what you're saying, but don't understand why you're asking. I can afford any product I want, but I get such great results from a mid-point skincare line so I don't search out the high end stuff. I never criticize or question others who want to spend their money that way. I usually just smile, knowing that I actually am the one with the better deal. LOL

I like high end and I like drug store. It depends on the products. Yes, I will buy higher end when I feel it works/performs better and many, many do.

What difference does it make to you ??? Did anyone ask YOU to pay for their "high end" cosmetics?

Actually, when people buy on credit then don't pay for it we all DO PAY - in higher costs to all of us for use of banking services and credit card costs. So your very rude post doesn't even hold water.

Who said anything about people not paying for it? "rude post"? What's rude about it? Maybe you should take a long look in the mirror about the many rude posts you make. SMH

{#emotions_dlg.lol} Thank you, ladies! I had 4" of rain in my basement to clean up today, and you gave me my chuckle for the day. Margo, your post is priceless, so true! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}
