I've been using Wen for a couple of years now, and I've had pretty good results.
Recently, however,, my hair/scalp have gone a little haywire. I'm wondering if it could be hormonal (early 40's), or just environmental. Anyway, my hair seems thinner (appearance wise - it's not falling out), and because it's so fine, I'm not overly happy with it. I've also noticed that I need to wash it more often - I was to the point where I was getting maybe three days out of it, and now it makes me cranky the day after a cleanse. This may be due to the higher humidity in the summer months, but I'm not convinced. I used to use TT and CA pretty exclusively, but I'm thinking of changing it up.
Do you think that maybe 613 would be a good choice to add to the mix, or possibly another "flavor"?
GRACIAS

I'm afraid I don't have much to offer, but I'd try a seasaonal before 613. Seasonals are like a cross between a regular CC and 613, but cheaper. If you like that, you can try more seasonals or try 613.
You might also want to try the volumizing treatment spray.

I'd also go see your Dr just to have your blood work checked. You're at a prime age when some health issues that can affect hair can begin to show up, like thyroid or low iron. Better to get a diagnosis now. FYI, if you're also losing the ends of your eyebrows (no hairs where there used to be some), that's also a telltale sign of hypothyroidism. Anyway, best to rule a medical issue out, since no amount of external hair product can help if the issue is internal.
Good luck!

I agree with posterchild. You should go to a doctor to find out if your problems are caused by any medical problems or a new allergy to any of the ingredients.

When I read you were not losing hair but that your hair seemed thinner, I immediately thought 'hormonal changes'. But if you are concerned, you should take the advice of others who have suggested talking to your doc. In my own case, as I moved into late 40s/early 50s my naturally very curly hair became much straighter. It is still curly by anyone's definition just not nearly as curly as in my younger days. And because my hair is straighter, it appears thinner. At the same time, my once super dry hair and scalp have gotten noticeably oiler. My mother's hair went through the same phase so it was not completely shocking.
I would not recommend 613 if you don't need the moisture. Check out Chaz's website and put your hair and scalp characteristics into his little app and see what it recommends for you. Or you might call the phone number on the bottle and talk to his staff. Best of luck!
